MADRID, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares gained on Thursday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 up 0.31 percent, or 32.30 points, to close at 10,595.30 points.

A total of 14 of the selected 35 large companies gained in the day.

Spain's seventh largest bank Bankinter advanced 5.26 percent, being the top gainer of the day. Spain's third largest bank Caixabank rose 2.97 percent and Spain's fourth largest bank Banco Sabadell gained 1.64 percent.

Renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa lost 3.50 percent, being the top loser of the blue chips. Airline group IAG lost 2.44 percent and telecommunication company Cellnex went down 2.35 percent. Enditem
