MADRID, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares fell on Monday with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 down 1.78 percent or 174.20 points, to 9,617.90 points.

A total of 33 of the selected 35 large companies lost in the day.

Steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal lost 4.90 percent, being the top loser of the day. Airline group IAG fell 4.51 percent and hotel chain Melia Hotels was down 3.51 percent.

Telecommunication company Cellnex advanced 0.68 percent, being the top gainer of the session. It was followed by electricity supplier R.E.C. that rose 0.36 percent. Enditem
