FRANKFURT, July 13 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 47.76 points, or 0.38 percent, to close at 12,540.73 points.

Chemical and consumer goods company Henkel won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 1.66 percent. Deutsche Post and sportswear and equipment maker Adidas rose by 1.62 percent and 1.54 percent respectively.

European health care company Fresenius SE lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 3.00 percent. Industrial giant Thyssenkrupp and telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom went down by 1.38 percent and 0.72 percent respectively.

German multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 245.72 million euros (286.09 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
