RABAT, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- Morocco defeated Malawi 3-0 on Saturday night in their second game in 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

At Complex Mohammed V in Morocco's largest city of Casablanca, the hosts dominated the game and got off to a perfect start as midfielder Hakim Ziyach broke the deadlock just three minutes into the encounter.

Striker Youssef En-Nesyri scored Morocco's second goal in the 42nd minute before adding a third in the 78th.

This was Morocco's first win after losing to Cameroon in Group B opener 1-0.

In October, Morocco will play against Comoros to defend their chances of accompanying already qualified Cameroon to the biennial tournament, which is expected to take place in Cameroon next June.

Earlier Saturday, Comoros held Cameroon to 1-1 draw in the other game of the group.
